Frequently asked questions
Does this QR code really never expire?
Yes — genuinely never. We generate static QR codes: your data (URL, WiFi credentials, contact card…) is encoded directly into the image itself. There is no redirect through our servers, no account, and no subscription that can lapse. As long as you have the image, the code works.
Why do QR codes from other generators stop working?
Many services create "dynamic" codes that point to their own short URL first. When your trial ends or you don't pay, they disable the redirect and your printed codes die. ForeverQR never does this — the code contains your data directly, so there is nothing we could turn off even if we wanted to.
Is it really free? What's the catch?
It is free forever with no catch: no sign-up, no watermark, no download limits, no "premium" export formats. The site is supported by non-intrusive ads, which is why we can keep every feature free.
Is my data (WiFi password, phone number) safe?
Yes. Everything — encoding, colors, logo embedding and file export — happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your WiFi password or contact details are never sent to any server, and we couldn't see them even if we wanted to.
Can I add my logo and still have the code scan reliably?
Yes. When you add a logo we automatically switch to high error correction (level H), which lets scanners recover up to 30% of the code. Keep the default logo size and check the low-contrast warning, and your code will scan reliably.
What's the difference between PNG and SVG downloads?
PNG is a high-resolution 2048×2048 raster image, perfect for web, social media and most print jobs. SVG is a true vector file that scales infinitely without blur — ideal for professional printing, large banners and design tools like Illustrator or Figma.
