About Free DevTools
Free tools should not cost you your privacy. That single idea is why this site exists.
The mission
Free DevTools is a growing collection of fast, free micro-tools — WhatsApp link generators, exact-size image compression, never-expiring QR codes and more — built on one non-negotiable rule: everything runs 100% inside your browser. No file ever leaves your device, no account is ever required, and no tracker ever watches what you do.
Why client-side?
Most "free" online tools upload your files to a server, where they can be stored, analyzed or monetized. We flipped that model. Using modern browser technology — JavaScript, Canvas, Web Workers — your photos, phone numbers, WiFi passwords and contact details are processed on your own hardware. There is no server to trust, because there is no server involved.
Who builds this?
Free DevTools is engineered and maintained by Amr Walid, a full-stack developer who got tired of watching everyday utilities exploit user data. Each tool starts as a real, everyday problem — sharing a WhatsApp number without saving contacts, hitting a strict file-size limit on a government form, printing a WiFi code for guests — and gets solved securely, without collecting a single byte of your data.
How it stays free
The site is a set of lightweight static files served from a modest server — it costs very little to run, so it can stay free forever. No paywalls, no "pro" tiers, no watermarks and no selling of data, because there is no data to sell.
What is next
More privacy-first tools are on the way, all following the same standard: instant, free, multilingual (6 languages including RTL Arabic) and 100% client-side. Have an idea or found a bug? We would love to hear from you on the contact page.
